CUSTOMS AND DUTIES
Please be aware of customs and duty fees the customer will be liable to pay to any destination outside of Canada. We have no control and are not responsible for the amount of customs fees and duties imposed. Due to customs process, delivery times are only estimates and may take longer than stated.

1. Uncollected packages
Shipping costs and duties for uncollected packages will not be paid by VELT.
*Please note that it is the responsibility of the customer to pick up the package from the postal station within the holding period. In the case where the package is left unclaimed and is shipped back to us, the customer is responsible for the shipping charge incurred for the delivery, as well as the shipping cost and duties charged to veltdesigns.com by the carrier for the return delivery.
2. Lost or Damaged Items
You understand and agree that VELT shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages done by any of the shipping services we provide. All items are purchased at your own risk. Any damage caused from shipping is to be taken up by you with the shipping company. VELT will provide you with the tracking number and contact information for the shipping company as needed. Once this information is provided to you, it is your responsibility as the customer to contact and deal with the shipping company. We do not assume any responsibility for lost packages.
All regular priced merchandise has a 7-day FREE RETURN POLICY (CANADA ONLY) from the day you receive the item. This date will be based on the tracking number that has arrived at your destination or post office.
All sale items are final sale. No exceptions.
International orders also have a 7-day return policy but shipping fees are at the customer's expense.
The item(s) must not be altered or worn and be accompanied by original tags and must be in perfect original sale-able condition.

The balance will be refunded to your credit card after the reception of the item at the VELT warehouse. All returns must be authorized by us prior to the return. Please contact us by email through firstname.lastname@example.org. The return authorization number must be clearly written on the outside of the package.
Any returns received without a Return Authorization number or that do not comply with the above may be denied at the discretion of VELT.
Returns from U.S.A
Shipping charges for returned items are at the expense of the customer. We will only accept U.S. returns if they are shipped by US Postal Service (USPS). Returns that shipped by other services will incur brokerage fees and/or duties which will be deducted from the credit/refund you will receive. Returned items must be declared as "Returned Goods" in the customs section of the return label. Returns that are not properly declared may incur additional fees. Please use a service that is trackable (we recommend Priority Mail International) as we are not responsible for damaged or lost returns.
Customers are responsible for shipping charges that are incurred on returning items outside of Canada. It may be in your best interest to use your local postal office for returns as using a courier service may incur brokerage fees. If any brokerage fees are incurred by VELT, it will be deducted from your refund/credit. Please ensure to declare the return items as "Return" for the type of export/declared value. As well, please use a service that is trackable as we are not responsible for lost or damaged goods.
At VELT Designs, we stand behind the quality of our product. We provide our backpacks and accessories with a 6-month warranty policy. This warranty is valid from the date the item has arrived at your delivery address based on the tracking number if purchased online. If purchased in-store, the date of the receipt. The warranty is immediately void if purchased from an unauthorized retailer.
VELT designs’ warranty policy does not cover misuse, accidents, abrasions, cleaning liquids, or damage during delivery of product. Modifications done to the item will automatically void the item of it’s warranty policy.
What is covered?
If you discover a material or manufacturing defect, we will replace or repair the item at our discretion.
The warranty claim must be accompanied by a proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation email). Purchases from unauthorized retailer will not be valid.
We will not cover loss, damage or cost resulting from the use or loss of our product. We will not cover general wear and tear from use over time and not limited to causing colors and materials being worn over time.
How to file for a warranty claim?
Take photographs of the defects including full images of front and back of backpack.

We will then inspect the email of photos and proof of purchase. Please allow 2 - 3 business days for us to view the email and reply.
We will then let you know whether the product as valid for our warranty policy and let you know the next steps.
Due to seasonal nature of the backpacks, we cannot guarantee all products will be in stock. However, we will be more than glad to issue a gift card or different style for exchange if your warranty claim is valid.
Warranty-related gift cards cannot be combined with any other offer including promotions/discounts on our online store.
